Oh yeah and it comes with headphones/Microphone as well as the inbuilt noise cancelling microphone on the Cam itself.

Headphones help as if you use laptop/PC speakers for the other participants voice this gets picked up by the microphone and you end up echoing their words back to them. When both of you are using inbuilt mic and speakers instead of headphones it gets a little confusing.

I second the choice of the Logitech
- i just got the 7500 as it was £60 cheaper than the 9000.

decent light handling and built in light and light sensor.

Works fine with messenger clients

Supporting software is ok but a bit of a pain to install in Vista especially if you have network drives mapped as it has hard coded paths for windows profile so it can create > Documents > QuickCam Pics

needed quite a lot of research, registry repoints and elevated cmd line to set it up
on work XP machine this may cause issues

Cheers. Picking a webcam always seems to be a bit of a gamble - any advice for audio as well?

Hi Dan,

Regardless of which webcam you end up using, make sure that you have a lot of light in the room - low light = low frames per second(fps).

I would recommend the Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 for the PC
